The titles of the works give the viewer a starting point to enter and begin to interpret what they see.

The ‘Dead Man’ is not an actual dead man, but rather an intellectual or dead in the mind man. It symbolizes the idea that men must change in their thinking to move forward as people in society.

As in most things, change occurs through acts of nihilism allowing new systems to evolve or come to the forefront. The idea of man on fire is about burning and destroying an antiquated way of thinking. Out of the fire’s ashes we can only hope for something better.

Overall, my work is not about solutions but about questions. Questions lead to discussion and then maybe to change.
